Westcott Theater September 4th 2009

On Friday, September 4th we will be performing our new album Distilled in its entirety. This show will be at the Westcott Theater in the Syracuse University area of Syracuse, NY.

We will be playing it from beginning to end in the order the songs are arranged on the album, as well as including many of the production ideas that were used in the recording in the performance. Some of these ideas will be Kris playing the acoustic guitar live as they are recorded on tracks like “Enjoy the Ride” and “Crossed Out and Changed”, both performed with harmonica like they sound on the album. Also included in the show will be the use of the B-3 organ by musician Ronnie Dark as heard on tracks like “My Loved Ones” and “Down Myself”. Ronnie will also be joining singers Leila Dean and Ashley Cox on various tracks which include layered back up vocals on the album. And of course we will be playing the heavier tracks with the intensity that our live show creates.

To add to this, we are happy to say that will be shooting the show for a DVD to be released in the near future. With all of the work that will go in to recreating Distilled live, we agreed that this has to be documented for our fans in video form. With the recent changes that the band has made, some intentional and others against our will, we want to erase any doubts that we still deliver a powerful live show. To those that have never seen us, we are going to make sure you walk out that night a fan. For those that can’t make it to the show on Sept 4, we will have the DVD as our proof!

On another note, every Monday from now on, we will be giving the fans something new to come and check out on our website. Whether it’s one of us rambling on about something that we feel is important, or maybe a demo of a new song, or possibly fan photos or video from a recent show- we will post something new to come check out every Monday. We’ve been under the radar for sometime now, and feel it’s time to become interactive with our fans again. So Mondays will be our days to release updates and other relevant (and sometimes irrelevant) information.

One more thing to add before I end, we will be starting an official Brand New Sin fan club which I will be spearheading. Becoming a member will entitle you to many perks.
